Elementary Lead Teacher - 26-27 SY

PMFS is seeking an experienced elementary lead teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. Responsibilities include planning and implementing a skills-based, experiential, and integrated curriculum, supervising a part-time assistant teacher, and working in collaboration with colleagues.

The elementary curriculum includes using Math In Focus, offering a balanced approach to language arts, and a thematic exploration of social studies. Successful candidates will have a love of teaching the skills of reading, writing, and math as well as having experience in differentiating instruction. Also, successful candidates will have a love of teaching a social-emotional curriculum consistent with Quaker education practices.

Job requirements include:

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in elementary education or a related field; master’s degree preferred
  • Significant teaching experience in the younger elementary grades
  • A commitment to diversity and to the school's mission
  • An understanding of Quaker education and practice
  • Excellent organizational, written, and verbal skills
  • Passionate about working with and inspiring students and families
