After School Program Coordinator

Plymouth Meeting Friends School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic education program professional to oversee our after school program, Beyond the Bell (BtB), for students in Pre-K through Grade 5.

The BtB Coordinator is responsible for the daily operation of the program, including supervising staff, coordinating coverage, planning activities, and ensuring a safe, engaging environment for students. This position works closely with the School Operations Coordinator, who manages program registration, billing, and administrative responsibilities.

Schedule

  • School Year: Monday-Friday, 2:30 PM-6:00 PM
  • Vacation Care: 8:00 AM-4:00 PM

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operation of the Beyond the Bell (BtB) program
  • Supervise and support BtB staff
  • Coordinate staff schedules and secure substitute coverage as needed
  • Plan and lead age-appropriate activities, games, and outdoor experiences
  • Ensure student safety and positive behavior throughout the program
  • Communicate and collaborate with school staff and families as needed

Qualifications

  • Experience working with preschool and elementary-aged children
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
