Step 6: Student Visit and Screening
Applicants may be invited to a Saturday morning Play Day, for a classroom visit, or to spend time with a PMFS faculty member. Conversation, observation, and a brief screening for age-appropriate skills take place during these events.
- Typically, Pre-K, Kindergarten, and First Grade applicants are invited to a Saturday morning Applicant Play Day, in December and January. Applicants in the Spring are invited for a partial-day classroom visit.
- Typically, Second through Sixth Grade applicants spend one to two consecutive days at PMFS in their current grade. Students have an opportunity to meet the teacher of the grade to which they are applying.
