Highlights of Oct. 14 meeting
Hello and welcome to the PMFS PTO. All parents, grandparents, caregivers of of PMFS students are part of the PTO community and we welcome you to meetings. Our next meeting is Friday, November 18, 8:15am in the Corson Lobby next to the gym. Please join us!

Highlights of our last meeting on 10/14/11:
At our last meeting we approved spending $1475 for student assemblies. We are happy and excited to do this and we expect to give more as the year goes on.

We also talked about the USED CLOTHING SALE, which raised more than $2000 for our students!

We need a co-chair to help organize CRAFT NIGHT, which is Friday, December 9.  Kids make crafts at this event and it could be a great way for YOUR kids to start making winter gifts for loved ones. Christie Duncan-Tessmer is organizing it, and she needs a co-chair who likes to call people and ask them to sit at a table, etc.  Please contact Christie (Mom of Ezra, grade 4) if you can help.  This event is in December so please act now. Contact Christie who is in the red book if you can help.

We need a parent to organize and publicize collecting money for the school through BOX TOPS and ESCRIP.  Just by signing up, each purchase we make can contribute money to the school and make it better for our children.  Lynn Viscio (Mom of Alex in 3rd grade)  is collecting information.  We need a volunteer to take the information and run with it.  The PTO board can help to get you started.

Finally, it’s never too early to start thinking about the Strawberry Festival.  We have one Co-Chair, and need two more.  One of last year’s co-chairs, Chris Plant is very willing to help mentor new co-chairs.  Chris has a family wedding this year so is unable to come to the festival this year, but he and last year’s co-chair Alyssa Arms have already put much planning in place.

Also, if each family at PMFS got two new families to come to the Fest, we could double our earnings for the school. Please start thinking about who you would like to share this wonderful event with!  This will be our 75th Strawberry Festival!

Please join us at our next meeting! We’d love to meet you.
