What is the PMFS Auction and why is it important?
The PMFS Auction – a school tradition for over seven years – is the major fund raising event for the school. This year, Auction proceeds will go towards the new building project.

Why is the PMFS Auction important?
  • Over the years, auction proceeds have funded both programmatic and facilities needs of our school
  • Auction 2007 funded the redesign and launch of our PMFS website
  • Auction 2009 raised nearly $25,000 that helped fund many of our school’s SMART Boards™
  • This year’s Auction will fund the new building project that will house new classrooms and administrative spaces
  • The Auction is a great community building event. There are many volunteer opportunities and parents have fun working together to achieve a common goal.
  • The evening of the Auction is fun, exciting, and the social event of the school year

When and where is the Auction?

The 2011 PMFS Auction will be held at 6pm on Saturday, March 5, 2011 in the Rotunda at the Chestnut Hill College.

How does the Auction work? How do I bid?

How does the Auction work?
Not sure how the Auction works? Read on!
  • The day before the Auction, or on the day of the event, take a look through the online Auction Catalog. You can make a list of your favorite items or just print out the entire Catalog and bring it with you! Or, just get inspired when you get to the event.
  • Stop by the check-in desk to check in and pick up your bid number and other important information. Be sure to do this so we know you are there and can track your bidding and purchases!
  • Enjoy drinks and food as you bid on items in the Silent Auction.
  • When the Silent auction closes (this will happen in stages and will be announced), the excitement continues with the Live Auction. The Live Auction will be under the direction of professional auctioneer, Frederick Wampler, our auctioneer for the past several years.
  • Next guests will mingle with coffee and tea as well as desserts.
  • Stop by check-out at the conclusion of the evening to settle your account by cash, check, or charge and pick up your items. If you have to leave before check-out opens, please contact the Development Office (610.828.2288) the following Monday to settle your account.

How do I bid in the Silent Auction?

Silent auction items each have a bid sheet with pre-printed bid amounts. To place your bid, simply write your bid number next to the desired bid amount. And don’t be shy … the sky is the limit.

How can I get involved?

The Auction Committee needs and appreciates all kinds of help from the PMFS community. Whether you can volunteer for one hour, one day, or more, any time and effort you can offer is greatly appreciated.

Contact the Special Events Coordinator, Yvonne Emerson, with questions about how you can become part of this wonderful event.

Here are some ways to help:

  • Contact the Auction chair or the special events coordinator to find out how you can help.
  • Donate items or services to be auctioned. Fill out the Donation Form to go with your donation. Then contact the special events coordinator for a list of needed items and to arrange delivery or pick-up of your donation.
  • Ask friends, family members, or businesses to make donations.
  • Become an Auction Patron. Or ask someone you know to consider being one. Fill out the Sponsorship Form and send it to the Development Office.
  • Make a cash contribution. You can do this by filling out a response card and sending it in with your contribution.
  • Come to the Auction and have a great time!
What is an Auction Patron?
Auction Patrons support the Auction by helping to underwrite the costs of the event. They are vital to the success of the Auction! To show our appreciation, all Patrons receive access to the Silent Auction preview the day of the Auction and special recognition for their extra support.
