Help! 800 Pounds of Strawberries Are Arriving on Friday

We have around 800 lbs. of strawberries arriving at noon on Friday and they all have to be sliced by the end of the day! Volunteers are needed to wash, slice, and/or provide childcare for future slicers (children of volunteers). Ideally, you should bring your own knife and cutting board, but the real need is for hands (however many you have) and time (as much as you can offer). We will start at noon and continue until the job is done (sometime in the evening). Sign up for a time before pick-up, after pick-up, or maybe even after x-day pick-up.

To volunteer, just click to sign up online at http://www2.mysignup.com/cgi-bin/view.cgi?datafile=strawberry_slicing

Contact Christine Seel-Gallagher at 610-203-4663 or berries@cseel.com with any questions you may have.

Strawberry Festival: A Few Good Volunteers Still Needed

The classes are practicing their skits. Pre-k and kindergarten parents are baking... a lot. Families are gathering materials, organizing games, cooking food. BUT... a few helpers are still needed to make the event the success it always is. The Strawberry Festival committee would like to ask for any volunteers who would be willing to: 1) bake a shortcake or two prior to the event; 2) staff the bakery booth during the festival (about 3 people needed); 3) staff the moon bounce and rock climbing wall for a shift; 4) help pack up the books, DVDs, and CDs at the end of the event.
Contact Marialice Dancy (aka Maria Price's mom) at 267-901-4472 or mjdancy@comcast.net if you can help out. And thank you!
