The PMFS Book Fair 2009 is coming soon!

The PMFS Book Fair will be held on Thursday, November 12, 2009, and Friday, November 13, 2009, in the Corson Lobby. Hours for the sale are 8:00 am until 3:30 pm both days and the fair is open to the PMFS community as well as the general public. Books can be purchased with cash or check.

The Book Fair is an opportunity to acquire picture books, early readers, and chapter books of all genres, both fiction and nonfiction. It is also a great way to do some early holiday shopping. PMFS parents are encouraged to stop by before or after conferences.

PMFS librarian Lynne Haase and a group of volunteers set up the books Tuesday afternoon so that on Wednesday, November 11, 2009, all students and faculty can take a sneak peek at the selection. Students and teachers fill out “wish lists” of titles that interest them.

Books this year will be provided by Barnes and Noble. In addition to the books provided by Barnes and Noble, there will be a table of Quaker Books of Friends General Conference (quakerbooks.org). These books will be available for purchase.

This event is a library fund-raiser. Profits will help pay for author/illustrator visits, online databases and new books.

The Book Fair will be staffed by parent volunteers, PMFS librarian Lynne Haase, and faculty.  It could never take place if it weren’t for the many energetic and enthusiastic parent volunteers who help set up and sell. To volunteer, please call Lynne Haase at PMFS. Or to email Lynne, click here.
