Capital gifts, distinct from the Annual Fund, help the school to address targeted, critical physical plant needs of Plymouth Meeting Friends School.
A capital campaign is a one-time fund-raising initiative that takes place over several years. Its purpose is to raise significant funds for constructing a new building, undertaking a major renovation or expansion, purchasing property, or purchasing a major piece of necessary equipment.
Your focused support toward improvements to the buildings and grounds is integral to the fulfillment of the PMFS mission.
Capital Campaigns
Plymouth Meeting Friends School’s plan is aligned with the School’s strategic initiative for stewardship of our historic campus and allows for the entire school community to stay together, on campus, through all stages of the construction and renovation.
Phase 1: Opening Doors Campaign (completed in 2004).
The Opening Doors Campaign facilitated a significant transformation of the campus and the daily activities of the school. More than 400 members of the school community made gifts, which funded the construction of the Steinbright Multipurpose Building, the Art Studio, and the “Little House” to launch the pre-k program, as well as extensive property improvements. Today, it is difficult to imagine Plymouth Meeting Friends School without these buildings.
