By providing as many musical experiences as possible, the music curriculum at PMFS strives to empower our students to grow and to be free to make musically sophisticated choices throughout their lives. Our hope is that our students will move through childhood and into adolescence and adulthood with a clear idea of what they like and dislike musically, and to be able to understand and verbalize why. We aim to develop their skills so that they can listen to music intelligently, with open minds, and so pave the way for a love and appreciation of diverse music through familiarity.
