A Day in the Life of Greenhill Day Camp at PMFS

Welcome to Plymouth Meeting Friends School's Greenhill Day Camp!

We are so excited that you are interested in learning about our brand new Camp. Located in Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania, on the beautiful campus of Plymouth Meeting Friends School (PMFS), Greenhill Day Camp was created with you and your children in mind. At Greenhill Day Camp we believe that summer experiences for children should be fun, enriching and affordable. Greenhill fees are all inclusive with no add-on fees for before camp care and after camp care. Snacks, lunches, trips, and specialty classes are also included in the Camp’s weekly rate. In addition, you are not locked into purchasing more than one week at a time. You can register for the weeks that fit your family’s schedule.

A Day in the Life at Greenhill Day Camp

Every morning, following our free before camp care, the Camp day officially starts with a fun all-camp assembly with our director Drew Jennings. Following a greeting and schedule for the day, campers head out into their smaller groups to a range of exciting activities. Each group will have a physical education class full of fun and challenging cooperative games. In addition, each group will have an art class that may meet outside in the cool morning hours to take advantage of PMFS’ beautiful campus. After snack, the groups rotate to their third morning activity which is a themed activity that is offered in two week blocks. The themes range from science and cooking to outdoor skills and computers.

Our campers then enjoy lunch. At Greenhill, we think you deserve a break from packing lunches, so we provide healthy, tasty lunches every day -- AND it's included in the fee!

After lunch, our campers have a brief period of down-time with their friends before heading less than two miles down the road by bus to the next activity. Our campers will arrive at the Greater Plymouth Community Center where they will enjoy a two-hour free swim block in the most amazing pool in the area. Full of slides, sprayers, and plenty of shallow areas for beginning swimmers, campers will cool off and play under the watchful eyes of their counselors and the pool staff.

Upon returning to Camp each camper can select a different enrichment activity each day.  We have active options such as  soccer, golf, and tennis; academic options such as  reading, writing and chess; and more relaxed selections such as yoga, drawing and K’nex.

At 4:30 pm the regular Camp day ends and most of our campers go home to rest up for another exciting day. Free after camp care is available until 6:00 pm. After camp care is unprogrammed, supervised time, designed to be a relaxing end to a very active day.

We hope this gives you a feel for what Camp will be like and encourages you to click the link to view and download a PDF of our brochure. Please call or email us with any questions. We hope to see you this summer at Greenhill Day Camp!
