Service Learning at Plymouth Meeting Friends School

“Let your life speak” is a commonly heard Quaker saying that appropriately describes how we respond to social needs, both local and global. Through service learning activities within the classroom, within the school community, and in the wider community, Plymouth Meeting Friends School students practice cooperation and generosity. Classroom and school-wide stewardship projects, as well as partnerships with organizations such as MANNA, Meals on Wheels, Inglis House, American Friends Service Committee, and others, foster children’s sense of responsibility and caring. Working together in the community, children learn the power they have to affect their own lives and the lives of others.
